the yellow color is caused by bacteria, if you are really concerned and self conscious go to the DR. they can prescribe meds to get rid of the fungus, also try painting them, a pedicure could help too! and they feel sooo good!

Firstly, I don't find it freaky. Human bodies vary vastly from person to person.





Secondly, yeah, it is possible. Some people really need to hold onto their beliefs that bodies are supposed to look a certain way, and not look a certain way (and often get these notions from sitting in front of the television or talking with friends who get their opinions from the television.)





Personally, i'd never date a person who relegates my entire worth to a pinky that they felt should look one way or another. Its dehumanizing and as such, such objectification is violence. I don't want to invite such violent influences into my life.





I will tell you that my tonsels have holes in them. An ex of mine has a big toe that sticks out to the left, my dearest friend and love in the world was labeled 'intersex' at birth (as were many of our friends), My adopted mom is blind, a friend of mine has limbs that are quadrapeligeic, one of my ex lovers has one eye that is a quarter brown, while the rest of that eye and the other eye is blue, I had a few classmates growing up who had hairlip scars, one of my childhood friends had one had that didn't fully develope the way other people expected it to (but it did fully develop in that it developed until it was done and then stopped as it was at the time it stopped), i once met a person who had one small leg over which he wore a prosthetic leg or used a crutch to balance out the longer leg.





I am only one person, these are just a few of the people i've known in my life. Humans. Are. Vastly. Varried. and its natural. ^_^





One thing i've noticed, if people don't raise a self conscious fuss about a body part that doesn't fit hollywood standards, if they pay it no more mind than any other part of their body, it generally sets the standard for how respectful people will also treat that body part.
Believe me if he dumps you for that he was not worth the time anyway - I think I would show it right up fron and get it over with immediately to save time.

i know that you can buy a strengthening polish from your pharmacy or chemist, you apply that every day or so , and it just makes your nails stronger, so there's less breakage.

I usually wear acrylics, but im not going to be able to get them done for about a month while the nail salon i go to is getting remodeled. I cant go to another nail salon because there isnt another one in my town and im not going to drive 1 hour every week for a mani.

Why not just grow your own nails out naturally? It doesn't take that long (2-3 weeks) and then you don't have to spend money getting them constantly redone.

Here are some suggestions:


1.) Put manicure on your nails. Those kinds that have an awful smell because they also taste awful and keeps you from biting your nails.

I had the same exact problem my nails were always short because of it i started looking at my nails and thinking ew their so short and nasty so i started to go to the salon and put on nails...sometimes i would bite that too i knew i had to stop it so i just did...because it was a very nasty and ugly habit i hate looking at people when they bite their nail its so ugly!
try putting sum garlic in a clear nail polish shaking it and adding a coat to your nails make sure you crush it once that way the garlic juice comes out but there no pieces floating around
you need to think that no matter how many times you clean them your still biting a nail full of germs hich is exactly like licking a toilet seat. Thats how i stopped.

I dont know where the quick starts on his claw because its so thick and digging into his paw. This is more common than you may think. You'll need the help of the cats vet or a cat groomer. First ask them how much $ to trim that one nail and can you watch and learn. They may show you. So, the nail gets trimmed and you learn something too. My vet showed me and gave me this bit of nail trimming advice. ';It is better to trim long until the nail is where you want it than it is to trim too short.';

I don't know where you live, but in my area, the vet's office charges only $10.00 for nail clipping. So maybe you should think about that. This really needs to be taken care of soon, since ingrown nails can become infected -- and then it would cost even more to take care of that problem.





By the way, you have a polydactyl cat -- not a pterodactyl cat. A pterodactyl was a prehistoric flying reptile, which is now extinct. The word polydactyl (poly = multiple, dactyl = digits) refers to multiple digits (toes). Just thought you'd like to know.
If this is happening, your cat is not keeping his claws shortened by himself. They will have to be trimmed for him to keep this from happening again and again. I have cut these (ingrown) nails before myself- it hurts and bleeds but they feel like a million when it is out. Do you have nail clippers? The scissor kind. If not, get him to a groomer or vet ASAP and have them teach you how to do this. It is cruel to leave him this way.
This is a common problem in these cats with extra toes. Use a scissor type clipper and clip the tip where it is sticking into the skin, then carefully trim it back. If you can't do it take him to a vet or groomer for a quick clip--neither should charge much for a nail trim.
I would take him to the CAPS shelter vet. they will help at a lower price and offer smaller monthly payments.


These people are more into helping the cat instead of makeing money.





If you don't have a local CAPS shelter, then go to any shelter that has a vet aswell and do the same thing.

Well biotin is for hair skin and nails and if you take it alone you wil see the difference. I take 8000 mcg of biotin.1 a day and my nails and hair are very long. Good luck.

Use a nail filer and if you want more at the store Wal-mart or any drugstore sells Sally Hansen nail enamel stuff for biting your nails and it's supposed to help them grow out to where they're supposed to be.

Actually, you do tip in Canada, contrary to the above answerer. Having traveled to Toronto and Montreal often for the last four years while I was attending undergraduate school in upstate New York, I found out that their pay scales for the food service industry is similar to the United States' - servers and bartenders get paid less than the minimum wage for retail and other workers, just like here in the States. So, yes, you should very much tip them, an equivalent to 15% - 20%, at sit down restaurants - servers bust their tails to get you your food and make your dining experience satisfactory, they deserve the extra few bucks to pay for tuition or other expenses that servers usually spend their money on (that's what got me through college, aside from the cheap-o's who felt they were above tipping). The minimum wage in New York is currently $7.50 per hour - service and food workers only get paid $5.15. Imagine getting along on that in the city? They NEED those tips for their livelihood.





As for nail salons - yes, about 15%. Starbucks - you CAN, but Starbucks employees, as least in the States and Canada, get paid a little above minimum wage, so it isn't necessary or encouraged, but they usually have little tip jars that you can drop your change into. Again, those employees work pretty hard, too, particularly considering how busy it gets in some Starbucks, so they deserve a few cents, I think.

I know that lots of people dont like nails on a chalkboard but Im like that with anything metally. Like my car when I open the door i am conscious of my nails everytime I do it. I make sure I dont scratch them underneath the handle. Ive done that before and I felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack. Even now just thinking about it makes me feel a little anxious. It's an autonomic neuropathy - one or more sensitive neurons causing a health problem. The outcome of the neuropathy in your case is a change in brain chemistry due to environmental illness. Everyone has it to some degree and why people have quirks like you have with your nails.





The treatment is to avoid poisons, even in trace amounts to protect those sensitive neurons from stimulation, which is the same as poisoning to them. No other products or any kind except food and avoid fabric softener. Right away wash all of your bedding, pillows, in Tide-free. That will allow your nervous system to get a good nights rest. It won't be so ';nervous'; during the day. Then start washing you clothes in the new detergent. Try using baking soda at night for teethburshing. It's pure with no pesticides to stimulate your nervous system all night long. Use Colgate's Peroxyl mouth rinse (a very little goes a long way) in place of mouthwash for the same reason.

I don't quite understand this question but here we go. For anything made of iron to rust only two things need be present... Iron and Oxygen. Rust is also called Iron-Oxide meaning it consists of nothing but Iron particles that have bonded chemically with oxygen. Therefore an acid (depending on what sort of acid) can facilitate this reaction at an increased speed. For example putting a nail in soda (a highly acidic solution) will increase the rate of rust. Not mainly because of the acid but because of the Oxygen present in the soda. Any acid that contains oxygen or any oxidizing agent can cause a nail to rust very quickly. Any idea what sort of acid it is?

I personally only get short to medium length acrylic nails with a french or american manicure (pinkish nail color with a white tip) this way, I never have to worry about matching my hot pink nail polish to an outfit or whatever. Talk to your manicurist though, they are the professionals and give really good advice. Rubbing alcohol (it's in the first aid aisle in the grocery store) also called isopropyl alcohol will get Sharpie off.
Hi..i would try hand cleaner like the mechanics use. It is cheap and can be bought at Walmart or Canadian tire. Rub it on, let sit for a half hour, then wash as usual. I use it for all kinds of stains.

I don't know what maccas is. I tip the esthetician at least $5 - about 15%. At cafes and snack bars without table service, I might put the change smaller than $2-coins in the jar. At a restaurant with table service, at least 15% figured before the tax, and a higher percentage if I'm eating alone and the bill is small.





I tip more generously in the USA than in Canada, because I know that hotel cleaners and restaurant staff get paid less in the USA. In the city where I live, they actually don't even have tip cups out at Starbucks, because they don't expect it. If I tip anything, I will just leave the change (like 50 cents if it's a $4.50 coffee). When I go to get my hair or nails done, I tip between 15% and 20%. I tip the same at restaurants, depending on the service. This is pretty normal.

I had to learn the hard way about that. It will ultimately make ridges in your nail bed that will forever be a pain to smooth out. Well, I have heard that there are more germs under your fingernails than on the toilet. I know its hard (I used to nail bite myself), but please stop. It doesn't look pretty and nearly cost me big time at a job interview as it is an insight to your personal hygine (so I was told). Plus your fingers will look more slender, and think of all the money you can spend on jewellery to adorn your newly manicured hands. You can buy some nail biting solver from Avon that you put on and it tastes really nasty (just don''t lick your fingers after eating a bag of crisps - lol). That may help you. Good luck in kicking the habit.

Nail biting is a sign of stress; look into what is stressing you out and see if there's anything you can do to lessen your nerves such as cutting down on caffiene etc. You could chew sugarless gum as a way of working out your nerves, much better than biting your nails!

Im always afraid to scratch my nail on something metallic...is this normal?

I know that lots of people dont like nails on a chalkboard but Im like that with anything metally. Like my car when I open the door i am conscious of my nails everytime I do it. Yes it's normal, a lot of people have weird (I use the term loosely) little quirks/phobias/fears e.g. I am absolutely 100% freaked out by worms and slugs if one is near me I feel like I have to take a shower and God help me it I touch one. So I say again yes it is normal and nothing is wrong with you, well at least not with that.

If you are going to Asian owned places it should be about $30. You can always call and ask how much a full set costs and then bring extra for the design.
well it really depends on a few things first off what kind of salon ur going to if its a really nice one its going to be alot more expensive than if u were to go to a lower class salon...second is what length ur getting...when getting white french tip at a regular salon i get medium for $17 bucks or long for $21 or $22....it really depends take $45 to be on the safe side and u will also need a tip i usually do 4-5 depending on how good they come out...hope that helps!!!

You don't 'walk' a rabbit. You can put a harness on it and take it outside, but you don't take it for a walk. Most rabbits will be scared and want to hide. They won't walk like a dog.

ok. here is one tip on gel nails. gel is self leveling. so when you apply it, do it in thin coats. making sure to ';tip'; the nail. that means wrap it around the end, free edge. after you apply the gel, turn your hand over, so that the nails are upside down. facing the floor. now keep them level. leave them that way for a few moments, like 20-30 sec. the gel will level out, and be fuller in the middle of your nail, giving you a nice C curve, a natural nail appearance, and won't be all puddled around your cuticle. you should be using a UV lamp, so make sure to cure each coat of gel 1 minute untill you get to the last coat, and cure for 2 minutes. also, when you apply the gel to y our nails, don't be heavy handed. use light strokes, with the brush level with the nail. if you hold your brush up to high then you push too much on the gel. and don't do your nails right after you got done doing the dishes. your nails will absorb moisture and the gel won't adhere as well. good luckIm teaching myself to appy gel nails, does anyone have any tips on application, products and suppliers?

My personal opinion would be that red would be beautiful with a black dress. However you need to consider what the colors in the wedding are and if your red polish would clash with the colors. Most importantly, I would ask the bride. Chances are, if she has asked you to be MOH, she trusts you and she'll be ok with your choice of color. there's usually no way to calm down your cat when you try to cut their nails,what I usually do,so that don't get attacked in the cross fire is get a large bath towel,wrap it around every part of my cat but the head and one paw,pet it's head for a couple of minutes and try to do it as quickly as possible while holding the back part of my kitties body with my legs.it doesn't hurt them, it's just scary so be gentle and pet them for a while afterward if they don't run and hide on you!
try petting it before you do it, but get all of your supplies ready. try having your cat be comfortable enough to purr. also pet her (or have someone pet her) while you are cutting her nails.
I got my cats used to having their paws handled when they were kittens, and I usually wait till they are sleepy or very relaxed to trim their claws.

Best way I've found to get specific stain removal information is to do an Internet search. Enter key words such as

If you have it available to you paint thinner is a sure way to get it out or if you were painting your nails a second ago then you'll probably have nail polish remover handy, you might try that.But when all else fails you can always get out the trimming scissors and trim the carpet.

well, I pretty much got my nails done every week, before I started doing them myself. I actually went to school for it. Started doing them myself. To be honest there are'nt any false nails that are good for you nails, but people usually still get them. I usually get acrylics(started doing them myself). they are gorgeous though and there are some products that you can get to repair the nails and add substance and protein back into the nail after the you take the nails off. There are so many designs that you can get on your nails. Go to youtube and search nail designs. Also there are waternails, there are gel nails, there are 3-d nails. etc. There is also a new product out and it may be hard to find. Ask the nail salon that you choose if they do the service. It is fairly new and some nail salons may never have heard of it or has decided not to invest in it for whatever reason. But they are called ENHANCED NAILS!!! That's happened to me before and I'm only 12, except it was infected before, but yeah someone stepped on it and it was about to fall off. I had to get surgery on my toe, but that was only because the infection was bad and didn't go away for a year. What I would do is wrap it up in gauze, and put Neosporin on it. If the nail falls off, keep it wrapped up when you are at school or doing something active. Keep it really clean so it doesn't get infected, because I don't think you want the surgery that I had to have on my toe. Clean it out with peroxide and soak it in Epsom Salt. That really helps it. I just bought and put on glue on nails for the first time. they look good but ive got some problems. Firstly, i think i have glue all over my fingers....but ive got compulsive skin picking disorder....so ive been with tweezers trying to get the skin on the tips of my fingers glue free but im not sure if its glue or skin im picking at. also, i noticed underneath the fakes my nails look really bad...reeally soft and terrible. like u know if u cut a nail with a bad clipper and if ur nails really soft or weak it will end up looking sort of frayed at the tip and underneath, with bits of a softer layer of your nail sticking out. well thats how they look and im not sure if its weak nail or glue and i am scared ive messed them up big time. i dont want to take off the fakes becuase i know there will be glue all over the surface of my nails and im terrified of having to deal with that and seeing how horrible i may have made them.Help. i just put on fake nails and i dont know if im distroying my hands/fingers! help please?

It's common to make mistakes the first time, I've worn glue on nails many times. My first time didn't turn out too well either and I used a bit too much glue which left a lot of dried residue on my nails and under the fakes. It also made them hard to take off and ended up hurting my real nails. However it's normal to have some dried residue left over. If you leave them on for a few days they usually just pop off eventually from the rigours of everyday life and to get off the residue just buff your nails or dip in acetone for a while.
I would not worry too much. The glue is probably CyanoAcrylate and is water soluable, it will fall off on its own in a day. Glue getting everywhere is what happens when you do it for the first time. Be happy that you feel they look nice except under close scrutinization. The glue should not effect your nails otherwise, they don't need to breath because they are comprised of dead keratin just like your hair. Maybe next time go to a salon and pay attention to how they do it.

I had those and now I have a permanet line down the middle of one nail and it splits into the quick and bleeds.it picks my dresses and my hose. i would love to have my normals nail back. but the so called profession ruined thast nail by introducing a fungus to my nail and the drug to cure it will damage my liver. stop with the fake nails. you can soak off the nails and the glue with acetone, they make a kind that removes fake nails.


buff your nails with a buffer to make them shine. wear gloves to stop with skin picking thing or take up sewing or someting to keep your hands busy. i assume your in counseling for this?
I would take them off. If you like having the strength of ';fake'; nails go see a professional nail salon and ask them to put on silk wraps or acrylics for you. It'll be more money but worth it because there will be nothing to pick off your skin. With fake nails you are supposed to take them off after a week or so. If you have ANY moisture trapped under those fake nails you will get nail mold and if it gets bad.. well i'll let you picture that one! I would invest your money on having a professional do your nails sweetie.
if you feel that you could be damaging your nails than you should remove them immediately before you get an infection
well, i am a compusive nail biter and always wear fake nails. the super glue on your fingers will come off soon, and the glue isn't damaging to your nails, after the fake nail comes off, how your finger and nail seems moist and weak afterwards is caused by lack of air (like when you have a bandaid on too long and take it off. After the finger gets some air that weakness will go away after about 30 min. The only thing thats really bad is pulling it off right after you put it on. After wearing them for about 2 days, (saying as you've taken 2 hot showers) they should come off easily, the same for the glue, just make your hands really hot, doing dishes is another good way. A good way to put them on without a mess is to put a couple drops on the real nail, then push the fake nail on for about 4 seconds, and quickly wipe the excess glue(if any) out of the corners of your nail. Your nails arent going to be damaged, worst case scenario if you don't feel like picking the dried glue off once u remove the nail, just give it a few days , or hell just nibble it off if your a nailbiter
Oh my dear, it is only nail glue. It shouldn't do any major damage to your natural nails,. especially if you only recently put them on. Go to the store and buy a block buffer, take your nails off, and GENTLY buff your nails with the buffer. This should remove any glue residue. And stop picking....lol. Hope this helps.

As a nail technician %26amp; beauty tutor from the UK I was amazed at how cheap you can get a set of acrylic extensions for. The average price in the UK is approx $80. Apparently in London now there are quite a few asian salons who offer at ridiculously low prices. Beware of inferior products %26amp; lack of hygenic conditions. I'm not saying they're all bad but the majority of employers are in to make as much money as possible %26amp; not concerned with the welfare or their staff or clients. Do your homework %26amp; go to a reputable salon or you could end up with permanently damaged nails with all sorts of infections.Why is it that most nail salons are run by Asians? I don't know, maybe its because they're really good at it. And Asians and everybody else have an artistic influence.

Think about it. When you first immigrate to the country, what possible job could you take without education, (or not having your degrees from other countries recognized)?

A) Work in a factory and chop chicken


B) Drive a taxi


C) Run a convenience Store


D) Open a nail salon


E) Etc, etc etc.





You do those things as a new immigrant because you can't get a job as a secretary (your English skills need to improve), you can't just enter the education system (may be too old), and you need a job that is a decent pay, with low skill involved, and not a lot of English.

Also, families that move over, start businesses like that, then bring their family members over and friends, tend to start them off in the same business as what they were in, by giving them a job to work in their nail salon and that's how it grows.

Everyday add a tiny amount of nair to their shampoo. In a few days it will seem like there hair is thinning and then slowly falling out. Don't put too much in or it will all fall out at once.


Or.


Get some itching powder and put it in their lotion.

Buy paint and paint their walls with polka dots and stuff. Then buy jello and nails and nail jello to the wall. I know it doesnt work, but it will leave stains. Make/buy pudding in a big thing and spread it in their beds.

Just go to the salon and tell them what you've told us (except the part about your girlfriend paying - that sounds a bit gutless XD). If you don't want to raise too many eyebrows at your reunion, I'd say keep it natural. Just get your nails shaped and buffed.





If you're nails are in really poor condition, you'd probably do well to go for acrylics and a french manicure but remember, while this will make your nails look very neat, it will be rather obvious - not that I find anything wrong with that, but others may.
