I have an ingrown big toe nail and im going to emergency tomorow so it can be removed will they keep me there?

both of my nails are kinda infected

will they keep me there at the hospital or let me go homeI have an ingrown big toe nail and im going to emergency tomorow so it can be removed will they keep me there?
go see your doctor so he can prescribe anti pain, anti-inflammatory and maybe some anti-biotics for your toe nail in-grown that is if it is already infected. he may recommend surgical removal of the entire nail. It takes a long while for the nail to grow back. You have to change your shoes to a wide kind. ask the shoe department clerk for recommendation.

If ever it seems that the ingrown toe nail is back because of the familiar discomforrt you experience, this is only a suggestion. go befriend a Filipino and ask whom he can recommend a good Filipina expert manicurist/pedicurist who is sympathetic on the pain, patient on the removal of dry skin and tough on removal of the ingrown toe nails.

After your ingrown part of the toe nail is removed including the dry skin underneath the toe nail, see to it an antiseptic solution is applied like betadine. Once you are at home, peel a garlic clove and pound on it. Apply the garlic flesh and oil on the portion where the ingrown toe nail parts were removed. This stings terribly bad but you are assured it will not be infected. Garlic is used too on insect stings and animal bites (against rabies).

After the pedicurist has cut and shapenned your nail so as when it grows, it will not cause another in-grown toe nail discomfort, apply daily with baby oil on all the toe nails. Remember, in-grown toe nail discomforts are created when you over-cut short your nails. Ask tips from the manicurist/pedicurist the proper way of nail clipping and the right nail clipper or cutter to use.

Bad smell on your feet? try soaking with Lady;s choice, Del Monte, Heinz Vinegar or Apple cider vinegar for a few minutes. Embalmers use vinegar to decaying carcasses to remove the odor.I have an ingrown big toe nail and im going to emergency tomorow so it can be removed will they keep me there?
No, it's an outpatient procedure. See a podiatrist in her/his office instead.
Can you go to your family doctor? Your doctor would charge a copay, maybe $30. The ER will charge $500 or more...
They'll let you go home. I had mine removed a few years ago. All they do is numb your toe up and take the nail off. No worse than going to the dentist.
They will let you go home. It's an outpatient surgery. I had mine done when i was younger and it's not a big deal when you go to have them removed. Just a needle to numb the toe and a cut with some scissors then a laser to burn the tissue so it doesn't happen again. They will tell you to soak your toes in warm water and vinager most likely because that is what they did with me about 16 years ago when I had mine done. Hope this helps and good luck!
