Hey, if it's your style, it doesn't mean that you're goth or emo. One time I was wearing black nail polish to school, and people kept asking me if I was a goth now. It was sort of obvious that I wasn't goth, I mean I was wearing bright clothing and everything. The people who asked me weren't very bright anyways.... LOL.
If people do ask you that for some strange bizarre reason when you're wearing black nail polish, just give them a straight out no. Most people will just say ';Oh'; or ';Okay'; and stop bugging you about it. But, if they keep pestering you and say something like ';Then why are you wearing it?'; just say ';Because I LIKE this color nail polish.'; That should end the conversation.

well maybe it's not just your black nail polish; perhaps it's the clothes you wear or the music you listen to that would give people the impression that you may be ';goth';. now, i don't know you so that was just a guess. if you are bright and cheery like you say, wearing black nail polish can sometimes look cute. maybe try switching to a dark purple or dark red cause those colors can look very nice too :)
