buy some of that nail polish that tastes bad when u put it in ur mouth. buy some of the strengthening nail polish that makes it impossible to bite them because they r so strong. when u catch urself going to bite them tell urself to stop, and put something in ur hands to take ur mind off it. it takes a while to get used to it, im just starting to stop biting mine. *it takes 41 days to break an old habit and 23 days to make a new one*How can i stop biting my nails and fingers? im 21 and ive had this habit since i was like 5.?

if your a burnet, i would get like a hot pink, or mabe a lime green
if your blone, i'd do a pretty, like, ocean blue
if you have red hair, i'd get a purple

I get nervous too, but what I do is put a towel over his eyes so he can't see and cut them that way. He won't be so stressed out and try and wiggle out of your grip. Don't cut them too short though or his little toe will bleed. You can take him to the vet and get them cut there if that makes you more comfortable. Good Luck!

i never cut mine, i got rocks from outside and put them in the cage, after cleaning them of course, so that when my guinea pig walked over them or whatever it filed their nails and it worked decently

Use a bead of wood glue across the entire edge. Use a thin finishing nail (about 2'; long) about every 4 inches. The nails only hold the box together while the wood dries. I completely agree with the above answer. You can easily use screws to put together this type of material as long as you pre-drill it. Make sure you do use at least some sort of sealant, even if it's just 2 sided tape... get a sort of gasket on the seams
2'; or 1 3/4'; wood screws with a wide head. You should drill the holes with a drill bit smaller than the screws first to prevent splitting. Use a bead of wood glue across the entire edge. Use a thin finishing nail (about 2'; long) about every 4 inches. The nails only hold the box together while the wood dries. I have your problem right this very second. You can soak your nails in Acetone Fingernail Polish Remover. Will take awhile but they will finally come off. I'm just gradually lifting mine up with the point of a nail file and prying them off. This will feel uncomfortable for a little bit cause you will actually tear off the top layer of your real nail. You put some in a small bowl %26amp; put your nails in there for about 15 minutes until the acrylic turns mushy. you then wipe off as much as you can with cotton pads %26amp; then file the rest off.
Nail polish remover doesn't have enough acetone in it to soak your nails off so that's a total waste of time %26amp; soapy water won't do anything at all.
Just a warning as well, it's ok to soak them off every now and again but acetone significantly weakens your nail beds. I actually lost my entire real fingernail once because %26amp; bumped my acrylic on my shower tiles %26amp; it ripped my real nail off with it! OUCH, it took ages to grow back too.
Nail polish remover *WITH ACETONE* will help dissolve the glue, soak your nails in a bowlful %26amp; they'll come off, then rub the excess away with cotton wool soaked in it too. Remember to moisturise afterwards though, it will dry your nails %26amp; skin out x

If Acrylic nails are applied and removed correctly, then there should be no lasting damage. The Tech will lighlt take off the surace shine with a block before applying the nails but no nail tech should ever file on top of your natural nails (only to etch the surface) Make sure that the place you are going to does not use a drill, they cause alot of damage doing that. Have creative put on if the do that as this system uses an acid free primer, and never ever pick your nails off. Soak them in acetone for about an hour, then oil them, buff them, apply somje nail strengthener and the next day they will be good as new.

Every night, clean your nails with a nail brush and soap, and once a month soak just your nails (fingertips) in 2 parts water one part bleach. It works really well. Just make sure not to do the bleach too often, otherwise your nails will get ruined.

Fiddle with his feet a couple times a day. Just play with them, rub the pads, stroke the legs. Soon he won't think it is at all odd that you are messing with his feet and cutting the nails will be much easier.

When the dog can handle that, then hold the dog in one hand, the clippers in the other, but don't trim the nails, just hold him.
Once the dog can handle that, then touch the clippers to his feet, but don't trim the nail.
Then after the dog is okay with that, then trim the nails.
This will take days, maybe weeks, but you need to gradually get the dog used to the clippers.
If you use a grinder, for the beginning steps turn the grinder on so the dog can hear the noise, but has the opportunity to see it as a distance they are comfortable with.
Also, other times when you are just playing with the dog, play with their feet. Rub them, and touch them between the pads of the feet and touch the nails - just with your hands, and the clippers nowhere in sight. This will get the dog accustomed to having their feet touched in a non threatening way.lotion cream

This will take days, maybe weeks, but you need to gradually get the dog used to the clippers.
If you use a grinder, for the beginning steps turn the grinder on so the dog can hear the noise, but has the opportunity to see it as a distance they are comfortable with.
Also, other times when you are just playing with the dog, play with their feet. Rub them, and touch them between the pads of the feet and touch the nails - just with your hands, and the clippers nowhere in sight. This will get the dog accustomed to having their feet touched in a non threatening way.

Get gels done on your natural nail (no tips). You can get colour over them if you want, but you can just keep them clear if you're not into that sorta thing.
They cost money so you won't wanna wreck them. If you DO decide to bite them, they'll be hard and once the gel cracks and gets in your mouth, it'll taste/feel gross. They won't feel good unlike your natural nails :)

I have 2 suggestions, first... think about all the bacteria that's underneath your fingernails. Seriously, imagine all of the stuff your hands and fingernails touch everyday. Sure you might wash your hands but the bacteria can still get stuck under your nails. My second suggestion is that you give yourself a little reward for not biting them. Start out with every day you don't bite them you'll treat yourself to something. Then, move onto every week you don't bite them you'll treat yourself to something a bit bigger. They lasted me a month, so by the time they fell off my nails were long and pretty. I painted them and never bit them again.
I used to bit my nails all the way to the skin and make them bleed. But now im cured :)

Go to a drug store. They have clear polish with a bitterant that is so gross.
Get a can of air to clean your computer keyboard. Spray the air on your fingers. They contain a bitterant so nobody tries to huff it. It tastes SO damn gross. Works like a charm...

my mom would cut a garlic clove in half and rub it on my nails when i was younger it defiantly worked. I still do it today it makes them stronger and helps them grow and it keeps you away from chewing on them :)

Your local pharmacy should have a remedy for nail chewing. It's a clear nail polish and it tastes very nasty, so hopefully it can steer your away from it. It helped me.

If you mean they're just painting a colored tip on...yes. I was told by a manicurist that colored tips, especially white help to make your nails look longer. And I have found it to be true. It just depends on how they (or you if you do them yourself) paint them. If it's a thin line, it will help them look longer. If it's a thick line...well then it will just take up most of your nail so they won't really look longer at all.

So, I've finally quit cold turkey. My nail-biting issue, I mean. But now its back to haunt me. I keep nipping these little bits off, one by one. They've really only grown like...a millimeter.

The more protein you eat though, the slightly longer more than usual they grow.

I groom my dog..and she is pretty easy to groom but when it comes to the nails she's like an angry lion...and she's only a little westie! it takes three people just to get the job done...i use the dog clippers...any suggestions on how i can do it on my own?My dog wont let me clip her nails...and im the groomer!?
As a groomer I have had similar problems, and my husband is able to help me do it by laying the dog down on our carpeted floor and him laying between his legs so he was sort of cradled belly up then on his sides. He held him for me and the dog allowed me then to clip his nails w/o a lot of fuss. Just make sure that you only take the tips at first for a while, so the dog begins to trust you not to cut into the quick. Trusting you for some dogs nails is very scary. If all else fails I have muzzled them and had someone help me by keeping the dog on his feet on my table and we did it as fast as we could.
Then, in extreme cases, (for your own pet!), you can give them a benadryl to calm them down. My 28 pound dog can have a 25 mg caplet.
I'm not a vet or vet tech, this is just my ways of handing my/some dogs,

Get her used to you touching her paws first. Then get her used to the clipper touching her nails. Then clip one claw at a time. Treats help, as does petting and praise. Don't praise her (think of your tone of voice when you're trying to calm her down) when she wiggles - she'll think she's doing the right thing. Firmly say ';you're okay,'; and keep going - if she can get out of getting clipped by being a terror, she'll do it. My dog gets a lot worse when I'm clipping her nails, but she puts up with it. I trim her nails just before a walk, feeding, or playtime so she gets her mind off the ';trauma'; pretty quick.

Try doing something soothing to your dog with the nail cutters present. Brush your dog, pat her belly, things she likes and pick up the cutters and handle them around her but don't cut the nails. Do this for about a week getting her used to the tool being around and not having it associated with three people holding her down.
Then, at the end of the week, take a paw and barely clip the tip off of the nail. Settle her down in btw with petting, stay calm yourself while doing this! Get all her nails clipped very slightly.
Do the same the next week, having the tool around, touching her paws with it in your hand, but not clipping anything until the end of the week.
She'll get over her fear, but two things to avoid: Pinning the dog down or three people holding her down is very scary to her. So she panics.
Second, make sure not to cut back too far because it really hurts them when their vein is accidentally cut.
My amateur method? I have someone hold her in one arm while holding treats in the opposite hand. She's busy sniffing for the treats and doesn't pay attention to what I'm doing with the nail trimmer.
I've heard that they need to get used to having people touch their feet. Touch her feet a lot when you are playing with her so that she gets used to it and doesn't think it's bad.

Also another trick a groomer suggested if she nips is to place a nylon over her head, this doesn't restrict breathing and prevents them from nipping.
I don't know how you can do it on your own but, what i do with my grandmas dogs ( they are little nippy dogs when you try!!) is i have her hold them and feed them treats or very small pieces of meat like hot dogs and after a few times of that it was easier. i think if you make it an extra special moment for them and only give them an extra special treat when you cut their nails they seem to associate it with something good they get in return
Our dog used to be the same way with her ears. She had an infection in one of her ears and it took months for my partner to gain her trust when it came to dealing with it (with the q-tips, drops, etc.), taking one of us to hold her down and one to administer the ear solution. Now Saffy will sit contently while her ears get examined and treated, but only with Jose. She still doesn't trust me to do the drops. We have the same issue with the nails, but only with her hind legs. She's getting better and her trust is increasing, but its still a dangerous procedure (she's beagle/Jack Russel, and a wiley one. Much stronger than they look). My advice is to just give it time, try to trim her nails when needed, but more often PRETEND to clip her nails more often so she gets used to the process.
I prefer to use a nail grinder. They don't seem to mind it %26amp; that's what my groomer uses. The only dog of mine it doesn't work on is my chow. Her nails are too thick but it should work well on yours. Otherwise, you may need to get a mild sedative for her until she gets used to it.
I am also a groomer a nd vet nurse, do not force her to have her nails cut, this is only making matters worse, westies are notorious for hating having their paws touched, so as another person answered here, walk her on paths and hard surfaces, or half her walk on hard ground, half on grass, most dogs nails do not have to be trimmed very often, so by walking on hard ground, this naturally files them....no more clipping.....yeaaaaaaa.
If all else fails, try her on a on natural rescue remedy....ANXIETY, is the name, helps with stress. or take her to your vet.
Since the time my dog was a puppy I would always play with his feet and make him lay still. I would make him lay down and pull on his legs and spread his toes apart. Now, he doesn't care what I do at all. I would do this to your dog a few times without clipping them so he gets used to the sensation. Then gradually do one or two nails at a time and then hopefully, he'll be able to go through the whole ordeal without any problems. Give him lots of treats if he's being a good boy so it's more of a pleasent experience for him.
A lot of westies are bad for their nails. I see this often in the shop.
I suggest any or all of the following:
Grooming table with TWO arms and nooses, one for the neck, one for the belly (make sure the belly one is a soft material so as not to irritate the hairless belly). The double noose system is safer and keeps the dog from throwing itself around too much and falling off the table.
A muzzle
An Elizabethan collar (they can try to bite, but they are blocked by the collar).
There is the odd dog that I have had to use both the muzzle and the collar.
Get your cute little dog all trussed up on the table, take a foot....and hang on. She'll probably have a hissy fit, screech and carry on like you're killing her. Ignore it, she's just being a drama queen. SMILE! Don't let go of the foot if you can help it, clip the nails as you are able. If she does happen to settle down, tell her she's a good girl and mean it. Otherwise don't say anything, don't get angry or frustrated, just clip. When you're done, give her a special treat, one she doesn't usually get.
Probably the next several times she'll be just as bad or even worse, but eventually she will realize that a) nail clipping doesn't hurt, b) it's gonna get done no matter what she does, and c) it's just not worth the effort.
In my experience, 25% of dogs don't care about having their nails trimmed, 50% don't like it but will tolerate it, and 25% absoluletly freak out and will fight to the death to avoid having it done. You may be able to do it with 2 people if you have one person hold her up in the air like a football, butt tucked under an arm, and the other arm against her head like a big bear hug, holding her as close to the body as possible. The vet can show you how it's done. I doubt you'll ever be able to do it solo, unless you sedate her. It has nothing to do with how she was raised, she was not ';previously abused';, she just doesn't want her feet touched. It's very common for a dog to act that way. Being a headstrong smart Westie doesn't help either : )
she fears you, she needs tied to a fence , and just playwith her feet , alot dont cut at all, whens she calms down , just clip one foot at a time .

A lot of dogs hate their feet being touched, when she is sleeping or sitting with you, feel her paws often so she will get used to you touching them..My sons dogs used to bare her teeth and pretend to bite but he eventually got them cut.You have to be very firm with the dog.. don't let her get the upper hand.. or she will think she has won.persevere with her.

I do as many of my dog's nails when he's asleep as I can. I use a scissors type clipper as I can see more clearly and I only slice (like a cold cut) the tip off each time to be sure I'm not cutting into the quick. I do this frequently and only a nail or two at a time.
I don't touch the foot, I just lightly enclose the tip of the nail with the clippers and clip. If there's no pressure on the foot, he doesn't wake up or if he does he just moves and goes back to sleep. It really helps if he sleeps on his back then all his nails are in the air.
It would be better to teach him better manners but, in the meantime, his nails are kept short.
I also think that clipping after a long walk and a good dinner makes things easier as well.

As a groomer I have had similar problems, and my husband is able to help me do it by laying the dog down on our carpeted floor and him laying between his legs so he was sort of cradled belly up then on his sides. He held him for me and the dog allowed me then to clip his nails w/o a lot of fuss. Just make sure that you only take the tips at first for a while, so the dog begins to trust you not to cut into the quick. Trusting you for some dogs nails is very scary. If all else fails I have muzzled them and had someone help me by keeping the dog on his feet on my table and we did it as fast as we could.
Then, in extreme cases, (for your own pet!), you can give them a benadryl to calm them down. My 28 pound dog can have a 25 mg caplet.
I'm not a vet or vet tech, this is just my ways of handing my/some dogs,

Get her used to you touching her paws first. Then get her used to the clipper touching her nails. Then clip one claw at a time. Treats help, as does petting and praise. Don't praise her (think of your tone of voice when you're trying to calm her down) when she wiggles - she'll think she's doing the right thing. Firmly say ';you're okay,'; and keep going - if she can get out of getting clipped by being a terror, she'll do it. My dog gets a lot worse when I'm clipping her nails, but she puts up with it. I trim her nails just before a walk, feeding, or playtime so she gets her mind off the ';trauma'; pretty quick.

Try doing something soothing to your dog with the nail cutters present. Brush your dog, pat her belly, things she likes and pick up the cutters and handle them around her but don't cut the nails. Do this for about a week getting her used to the tool being around and not having it associated with three people holding her down.
Then, at the end of the week, take a paw and barely clip the tip off of the nail. Settle her down in btw with petting, stay calm yourself while doing this! Get all her nails clipped very slightly.
Do the same the next week, having the tool around, touching her paws with it in your hand, but not clipping anything until the end of the week.
She'll get over her fear, but two things to avoid: Pinning the dog down or three people holding her down is very scary to her. So she panics.
Second, make sure not to cut back too far because it really hurts them when their vein is accidentally cut.
My amateur method? I have someone hold her in one arm while holding treats in the opposite hand. She's busy sniffing for the treats and doesn't pay attention to what I'm doing with the nail trimmer.
I've heard that they need to get used to having people touch their feet. Touch her feet a lot when you are playing with her so that she gets used to it and doesn't think it's bad.

Also another trick a groomer suggested if she nips is to place a nylon over her head, this doesn't restrict breathing and prevents them from nipping.
I don't know how you can do it on your own but, what i do with my grandmas dogs ( they are little nippy dogs when you try!!) is i have her hold them and feed them treats or very small pieces of meat like hot dogs and after a few times of that it was easier. i think if you make it an extra special moment for them and only give them an extra special treat when you cut their nails they seem to associate it with something good they get in return
Our dog used to be the same way with her ears. She had an infection in one of her ears and it took months for my partner to gain her trust when it came to dealing with it (with the q-tips, drops, etc.), taking one of us to hold her down and one to administer the ear solution. Now Saffy will sit contently while her ears get examined and treated, but only with Jose. She still doesn't trust me to do the drops. We have the same issue with the nails, but only with her hind legs. She's getting better and her trust is increasing, but its still a dangerous procedure (she's beagle/Jack Russel, and a wiley one. Much stronger than they look). My advice is to just give it time, try to trim her nails when needed, but more often PRETEND to clip her nails more often so she gets used to the process.
I prefer to use a nail grinder. They don't seem to mind it %26amp; that's what my groomer uses. The only dog of mine it doesn't work on is my chow. Her nails are too thick but it should work well on yours. Otherwise, you may need to get a mild sedative for her until she gets used to it.
I am also a groomer a nd vet nurse, do not force her to have her nails cut, this is only making matters worse, westies are notorious for hating having their paws touched, so as another person answered here, walk her on paths and hard surfaces, or half her walk on hard ground, half on grass, most dogs nails do not have to be trimmed very often, so by walking on hard ground, this naturally files them....no more clipping.....yeaaaaaaa.
If all else fails, try her on a on natural rescue remedy....ANXIETY, is the name, helps with stress. or take her to your vet.
Since the time my dog was a puppy I would always play with his feet and make him lay still. I would make him lay down and pull on his legs and spread his toes apart. Now, he doesn't care what I do at all. I would do this to your dog a few times without clipping them so he gets used to the sensation. Then gradually do one or two nails at a time and then hopefully, he'll be able to go through the whole ordeal without any problems. Give him lots of treats if he's being a good boy so it's more of a pleasent experience for him.
A lot of westies are bad for their nails. I see this often in the shop.
I suggest any or all of the following:
Grooming table with TWO arms and nooses, one for the neck, one for the belly (make sure the belly one is a soft material so as not to irritate the hairless belly). The double noose system is safer and keeps the dog from throwing itself around too much and falling off the table.
A muzzle
An Elizabethan collar (they can try to bite, but they are blocked by the collar).
There is the odd dog that I have had to use both the muzzle and the collar.
Get your cute little dog all trussed up on the table, take a foot....and hang on. She'll probably have a hissy fit, screech and carry on like you're killing her. Ignore it, she's just being a drama queen. SMILE! Don't let go of the foot if you can help it, clip the nails as you are able. If she does happen to settle down, tell her she's a good girl and mean it. Otherwise don't say anything, don't get angry or frustrated, just clip. When you're done, give her a special treat, one she doesn't usually get.
Probably the next several times she'll be just as bad or even worse, but eventually she will realize that a) nail clipping doesn't hurt, b) it's gonna get done no matter what she does, and c) it's just not worth the effort.
In my experience, 25% of dogs don't care about having their nails trimmed, 50% don't like it but will tolerate it, and 25% absoluletly freak out and will fight to the death to avoid having it done. You may be able to do it with 2 people if you have one person hold her up in the air like a football, butt tucked under an arm, and the other arm against her head like a big bear hug, holding her as close to the body as possible. The vet can show you how it's done. I doubt you'll ever be able to do it solo, unless you sedate her. It has nothing to do with how she was raised, she was not ';previously abused';, she just doesn't want her feet touched. It's very common for a dog to act that way. Being a headstrong smart Westie doesn't help either : )
she fears you, she needs tied to a fence , and just playwith her feet , alot dont cut at all, whens she calms down , just clip one foot at a time .

A lot of dogs hate their feet being touched, when she is sleeping or sitting with you, feel her paws often so she will get used to you touching them..My sons dogs used to bare her teeth and pretend to bite but he eventually got them cut.You have to be very firm with the dog.. don't let her get the upper hand.. or she will think she has won.persevere with her.
Have someone else do it.

I like to paint my nails a lot but im running outof ideas. i need new funky ways to paint my nails?
You can paint your nails black or navy blue and then when the paint dries put little dotson your nail in neon colors. Then while the dots are still wet take a toothpick and drag the dots.(they will then look like lines) When it is close to Halloween you can paint your nails orange or white then put faces on them so that they look like ghosts and pumpkins. If you like dogs you can paint little paw prints on your nails by putting a few large dots on each nail and then putting 3 little dots over each big dot. Another way you can do your nails that loks really cool is making them look like dice. You paint your nails white then put either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,or 6 dots on each nail. 1. Fill a small shallow cup or glass with water, almost to the lip - 90% full. Add nail polish colors of your choice by placing each drop gently onto the surface of the water. The nail polish should be of good quality and of an even liquid consistency. Poorer quality polish of inconsistent texture will not result in the desired effect. Note: Timing is critical with marbling so being fully prepared is a must. Nail polish hardens quickly on the water surface so as part of your preparation be sure to have all the bottles you are planning to use open and ready to go.
2. Use a pin or needle and drag it from one edge to the other to create the desired look. Experiment, have fun!
3. Insert the full nail or just the tip into the water.
4. Remove the nail (or tip) from the water and immediately use a cotton ball or qtip soaked in polish remover to remove any excess polish from the surrounding skin.
5. Let dry then apply a top coat.

Check it out - the 3m command strips others mentioned are perfect, come off clean if properly applied. I use them all over during holidays when I don't want holes in the all for temporary stuff. Also to hang pot holders on the wall or for coat hangers.

And it will stick to the wall and when you are done with it you pull the tab from underneath it and it removes the sticky stuff from the surface and removes the hook without residue. I saw it on a commercial the other day and it seems pretty cool. I forgot the name and brand of it but you might be able to find it at like target or walmart. Maybe you could use nice book cases to accentuate your decorations? Also, you could get a couple of room dividers that you could hang things on. The other answers given to you about the command hooks are right on. It's a great product. Did you talk to the landlord and ask if you put a few things up could you possibly fill the holes and touch up the holes with matching paint when you leave? They may not go for it... but it could be worth a try.

If you can, get regular manicures, keep your nails trimmed short and use a moisturizer after every hand washing... I like Sally Hansen's 18 hour protective hand creme. It comes in an orange tube and I get it at Walgreen's for just a few dollars.

I realize this will sound like a joke, but I swear it is true.
Trim/file your nails short, always keep clear coat on them and trim them as soon as they begin to extend past your fingertips.

keep them moisturized. also start taking vitamin E, It repairs the skin cells, you will notice a shine in your hair, a bonus.

The first thing you have to remember is that water is not your friend. Water makes nails softer than there really are. So to prevent this either wear rubber gloves when putter your hand in water and when out of the shower or swimming dry your nails/hands off first.
Second thing is to keep polish on your nail even clean nail polish will help to strengthen them. The polish also help when your nails hit up against other surface.
Third your nail truly represent your overall health. So eat a good food, plenty of leafy green vegetable and get enough sleep per night.
Having your nail nicely polish and shaped also goes a long way to how they appear to yourself. Nails that grow out straight from the bed (or square) will have the habit of catching and hitting on more things. Round your nails off at the end. Also keep your nails clean under the beds.
Remember that nail on average only grow 1/8 of an inch per month. Mine did grow a little faster when I was pregnant but also I was taking a multi vitamin plus folic acid. Hope this helps.

I realize this will sound like a joke, but I swear it is true.
Trim/file your nails short, always keep clear coat on them and trim them as soon as they begin to extend past your fingertips.
Ever since I have begun to keep my nail length short (just below the end of my fingertips), they have started to grow faster and stronger than when I tried to keep my nails long.

stop worrying about your nails, silly. You're having a baby. you should concentate on that.;)
keep them moisturized. also start taking vitamin E, It repairs the skin cells, you will notice a shine in your hair, a bonus.
check with your doctor first!! maybe a prenatal will help
The first thing you have to remember is that water is not your friend. Water makes nails softer than there really are. So to prevent this either wear rubber gloves when putter your hand in water and when out of the shower or swimming dry your nails/hands off first.
Second thing is to keep polish on your nail even clean nail polish will help to strengthen them. The polish also help when your nails hit up against other surface.
Third your nail truly represent your overall health. So eat a good food, plenty of leafy green vegetable and get enough sleep per night.
Having your nail nicely polish and shaped also goes a long way to how they appear to yourself. Nails that grow out straight from the bed (or square) will have the habit of catching and hitting on more things. Round your nails off at the end. Also keep your nails clean under the beds.
Remember that nail on average only grow 1/8 of an inch per month. Mine did grow a little faster when I was pregnant but also I was taking a multi vitamin plus folic acid. Hope this helps.

My husband used no nails (or similar). But put a few pins in along the way to give it time to stick we had no problem with that and it did not come away from the wall. Just small pins so they cannot be seen any slight pin hole does not normally show and can be covered with paint. I f you really need to do something with the pin holes a little wood filler if needed.

There's no problem with you getting them. They look great for about 2 weeks but after you take them off, your real nails are often very weak and they take some time to recover. It doesn't hurt getting them on, but if you try pulling them off yourself, they may hurt a little. it'll take getting used to like everything else.

This was one of my concerns also when I found out that I was pregnant because I get my nails done every two weeks faithfully. I asked my doctor and he told me that as long as I'm in a well ventilated area, it was perfectly fine.

The fumes are harmful for you so I can only assume that they are not good for the baby. If you must do it, then do it somewhere other than a salon where there is so much of the chemicals you can't avoid them. Rememebr that your nails are growing much faster now and you might be wasting money too.
